Semester fees

For the school year 2022/2023, the following rates apply:

 

Semester fee

Semester fee 8000kr + Sio 690kr.  – (30 credits)

 

Digital Library fee

Fee for Digital Theological Library (DTL): SEK 650 / semester comes in addition to semester fee.

DTL is the world’s largest digital theological library. Through DTL, students at HLT have access to a wide range of curriculum materials through the Digital Theological Library. This access will significantly reduce the need to buy in additional curriculum material and therefore greatly reduce curriculum costs.

SIO fee Oslo

For students taking 15 credits or more there will be an extra fee to SiO (Student Life in Oslo and Akershus) of NOK 690, -. SiO offer services that provides a easier and better student every day for you. SiO provide housing, gym membership, food and drink, medical, dental, psychologists, counselors, associations and kindergarten adapted to your campus life and student finance.

Microsoft365 (Office365)

All students who are registered for the full-time time program at HLT can receive the Microsoft365 package. It’s just the online version. That means that you need to use your web browser with internet access. This gives you access to, among other things, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive, OneNote and much more. If you want the product, you’ll be assigned an  xxxx@hlt.no e-mail address. Please contact Thomas Birkeland if you want access to Microsoft365.

Examination fees

Examination fees for ordinary exams are normally included in the tuition fees. Off-campus exams are subject to an additional fee. Makeup exams are also subject to an additional examination fee except in the case of sickness documented by a doctor, or other approved extenuating circumstances.

 

For the school year 2020/2021, the following prices apply:

800,-kr per makeup exam

800,-kr for off-campus examination

1600,-kr for makeup of bachelor assignment

 

Once your semester fees are paid you will:

  • be registered as an active student, which is one of the prerequisites for obtaining loans from the Norwegian State Loan Fund
  • be granted access to HLTs IT systems (Self Service and Moodle)
  • have the right to take examinations and to take makeup examinations
  • be able to obtain a student ID card
  • access the welfare services from the Student Society in Oslo and Akershus (SiO)
  • library loans and library access

 

Important to keep in mind:

  • You will lose the right to study if you have not paid the semester fee within the deadlines given.
  • You must have paid the semester fee to get a loan from the Lånekassen.
